Organic Food: 3 Science-Backed Reasons You Should Go Organic
Once found only in health food stores, organic food is now a common feature at most grocery stores. And that's made a bit of a problem in the produce aisle. Visit Grocery is a store that provides a variety of raw organic foods including fish, meat, vegetables, dairy products, and fruits. Today, we will be explaining all that you should know about organic foods.
My first article 'Organic foods: Are they safer? More nutritious?' focuses on what organic farming is. It's all about the way farmers grow and process farming products. These practices are designed to meet the goals of cutting pollution, providing safe places for farm animals, and promoting a self-sustaining cycle of resources on a farm. Materials or methods avoided include artificial fertilizers, synthetic pesticides, genetic engineering of crops, and antibiotics for farm animals. (https://shorturl.ae/F0JXA)
The second article, 'Organic Food: What You Need to Know,' shows a comparison of organic and in-organic produce. For instance, in organic produce weeds are controlled naturally while in conventionally-grown produce weeds are controlled with chemical herbicides. In organic ways, livestock is given hormone-free feed and access to the outdoors, while in conventionally-raised methods livestock is given growth hormones and may not have access to the outdoors. Now, I will be providing three reasons why you should go organic.
#1 - Organic food is often fresher because it doesn’t contain preservatives that make it last longer.
#2 - Organic farming practices may reduce pollution, conserve water, reduce soil erosion, increase soil fertility, and use less energy.
#3 - Organic meat and milk can be richer in certain nutrients.
These and many other benefits of organic foods are the reasons Visit Grocery wants you to go organic and choose a healthy lifestyle for yourself and your loved ones.
